Education should be based on need, merit, and the desire to serve—not on the name of the university a student attends.
Today, we raise our voices on behalf of the many promising sons and daughters of Lofa County who are pursuing their studies at the Free Pentecostal University but continue to face serious financial challenges.
For years, Lofa County has proudly supported its students attending various government universities through scholarship and educational assistance programs.
These initiatives have transformed lives, produced professionals, and strengthened the county’s human resource capacity.
However, many deserving students enrolled at the Free Pentecostal University have yet to benefit from similar support.
We commend all sons and daughters of Lofa, both at home and abroad, for the tremendous contributions they continue to make toward education particularly, Hon. Momo T. Cyrus, Lofa County Senator and Hon. Thomas Fallah, Lofa County District #1 representative and Deputy Speaker.
Your commitment has opened doors of opportunity for countless young people not only at government universities but private universities including the Free Pentecostal University and for that, we are deeply grateful.
Today, we respectfully appeal to your sense of fairness, unity, and shared responsibility.
Let us not leave any Lofa student behind simply because of the institution they attend. Students at the Free Pentecostal University are equally determined to become teachers, nurses, engineers, journalists, pastors, entrepreneurs, and public servants who will one day contribute to the growth and development of our county and nation.
We therefore call on Central Government, Lofa County Legislative Caucus and individual lawmakers, local government, Scholarship Committee, district commissioners, chiefs, community leaders, civil society organizations, private businesses, and every son and daughter of Lofa to extend scholarship opportunities and financial assistance to these students.

The future of Lofa County depends on an educated generation and therefore, very student we support today is an investment in tomorrow’s leadership, peace, and prosperity.
To every son and daughter of Lofa, this is our collective responsibility. Let us join hands to ensure that no deserving student is forced to abandon their education because of financial hardship. Together, we can build a stronger, more educated, and more prosperous Lofa County.
Education for all deserving Lofa students is not a privilege—it is an investment in our shared future.
“If you are providing $1.00 to a student attending a government university, simply provide the same for a student attending a private university and that student can look elsewhere to get his or her balance fees”.
