Coach Ansumana Keita’s dream of qualifying Liberia to the 2023 African Cup of Nations came alive as substitute Mohammed Sangare beautiful strike from a distance in extra time, after the full-time give the Lone Star a point in an away fixture to South Africa.

Lone Star suffers a 2-0 defeat to Morocco in Casablanca in the opening Afrcon Qualifer in June 2022.

Coach Ansumana Keita of Liberia will travel to Morocco in September in his final match of the AFCON 2023 Qualifers.

Keita took charge of the men senior national team during the month of January 2023.
