It will be dream come true for many football lovers in the Bardnersville suburb of Monrovia as the soccer theater the Barnersville Estate Sports Pitch will soon get a new look, ahead of the District most watched and talk-about sporting tournament in the Barnersville Estate and Its environs.

The soccer pitch, which is under the supervision of an Old-timers Sports Association, the Barnersville Old-timers Sports Association (BOSA) along with SUPER BOSAC.

The soccer pitch has existed for a long time as recreation center for the people of Barnersville Estate and its environs.

In an interview early this week at the soccer pitch in the area during the continuation of the refurbishing works, Mr. Tony Dormah mentioned that the initiative is done in preparation for the upcoming 2023 Barnersville Estate and Its environs league.

The former VPO of Super BOSAC Dormoh said that over the years they noticed that the athletes have not been protected on the pitch due to fans invasion, which include even the referees during a match game at the field.

“This inner fence is intended to provide security for the teams and referees during the match end even doing the time of penalties shout out after full minutes of play,”. Said Dormoh chairperson on procurement.

When quizzed about how was the funds generated Chairperson Dormoh said the project is 100% sponsor by the first citizen of District # 11, Montserrado County Rep. Richard Nagbe Koon and SUPER BOSAC?

He said that the fencing of the field with pipe and other renovation work on stadium including the beautification of the sitting capacity   started days ago and hoping to complete it before the kick-off of the tournament on Saturday, 9 September.

Dormoh estimated the cost of such project to over USD 11,000.00.

Super BOSAC will host this year’s edition of the Barnersville Estate area with full sponsorship from Montserrado County District # 11 Rep. Richard Nagbe Koon.
