Govego Jallah scores his first League Hat-trick as Africa Sports Academy beat KA- City 3-1 on Wednesday, 14 February at the opened-air Nancy B Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.
The match marks another fight in the chase for silverware in the LFA-Margibi Sub-Association Third Division 2023/2024 League Season.
It was an all-Kakata Affairs fixtures at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.
Jallah scored in the 13th minute of the first half to give the home team Africa Sports Academy a 1-0 lead against the visitor KA-CITY but with no effort from both clubs to get on the score sheet.
Jallah’s lone goal in the early minutes of the first half sealed a 1-0 half-time win for Africa Sports Academy over KA-CITY.
Back from recess, Jallah netted a brace in the 74th minute to increase the score to 2-0 in favor of Africa Sports Academy over KA-CITY after the visitor KA-CITY reduced to 10-men in the first half which saw Foday Dinho receiving a straight red card from center referee Joseph McGill from a reckless challenge on a player of Africa Sports Academy.
And with still plenty of time plus added time to end the full 90th mins Jallah registered his second in the second half in the 83rd minute to mark a hat trick that saw Africa Sports Academy defeating KA-CITY 3-1.
Morris Tokpah got the lone goal for KA-CITY in the 86′ mins but his goal couldn’t salvage a point or collect the three points for KA-CITY in the 3-1 away defeat to Africa Sports Academy.
Jallah, alias ” Spirit”, has made the record not just by scoring his his first League goals by climbing up to hattrick.
He now becomes the second player to register a hat trick in a single match in the LFA-Margibi Sub-Association Third Division League. The first player to score a hat-trick in the competition is Daniel Harlie of FC Quincy.

Jallah three goals makes him the reigning champions Africa Sports Academy highest goal scorer for club in the competition with his goals helping his team to also collect all three points which saw Africa Sports Academy, escaping relegation as the club moves to seventh place on the league table.
His best ever form for the defending champions of Margibi County Africa Sports Academy was the previous season where he clinched the Golden Boot Award in the Upper Subcommittee- LFA -Margibi Sub-Association Third Division League.
Jallah registered 10 goals in the league, as he helped Africa Sports Academy clinched the first ever domestic silverware and moreover making the club gained a slot for the National Third Division Regional and Promotional Playoff.
In all competition during the 2022/2023 League Season Jallah registered 13 goals in all competition.
Jallah will be hoping on his club next fixture against FC Quincy on Sunday,18 February at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.
In other interesting results on Wednesday, 14 February Daniel Harlie lone goal from the penalty spot in the first half secured a 1-0 away win for the Club against One Goal Football Academy.
The former MVP Harlie goals sends his club on top of the league table and moreover his goals help the club collects the three points against One Goal Footbal Academy, as the defeat marks the first for One Goal Football Academy in such competition.

The 2023/2024 LFA-Margibi Sub-Association Third Division League takes a break but resumes on 18 February at the Unification Sports Pitch in Harbel and the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.
At the Unification Sports Pitch in Harbel SUSA FC and KA-CITY in game one while in game two Weitown United FC and One Goal Football Academy climax the day’s fixture at the Lower end.
At the Upper End in Kakata at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in game one SLY FC and JABU FC while in game two nearest neighbors rub shoulder as Africa Sports Academy and FC Quincy end the show.
