SPORTS: Invincible Eleven (IE) Taste Another Defeat

It was another disappointing result for the “Sunshine Boys”, Invisible Eleven (I.E) as the team tasted another defeat.

The Margibi County top-tier club Sandi FC pinned Invisible Eleven 2-1 to grab the second win in a row and the third since the new season.

Sandi FC win over Invincible Eleven at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata on 9 October marks the team second win in a row and the first win at home since the start of the new season of the Orange National League-1st Division.

Sandi FC has tasted two defeats at home this season at home. Sandi FC suffers a 1-0 defeat to Nimba Kwado on 10 September while Mighty Barrolle won a comfortable 2-0 win over Sandi FC on 25 September at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

Sandi FC thrashed former back-to-back champions LPRC Oilers 3-1in an away fixture at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnerville on 2 October. The win moves Sandi FC to 6th place on the league table with 9 points while I. E. drops to 12th place.

The Yellow Boys of Invincible Eleven (I.E.) yet to grab a win but tasted two defeats since the start of the new campaign.

Sandi FC tied on points with Nimba Kwado on the league table with 9 points each.

In other results at SKD PP MUSCAT FC came from a goal down 6 October to pin Mighty Barrolle 2-1 at the ATS in Monrovia, while   FC Bea Mountain pinned Nimba Kwado 1-0 on 5 October at the ATS in Monrovia.

And on 7 October at the ATS former back-to-back champion LPRC Oilers forgot about the defeat to Sandi FC and won a narrow 3-2 win over Cece United.

In a reschedule match that was played after a goalless draw at half-time and the early minutes of the second half on Sunday ,9 October due to the lighting cutoffs at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville, Saviour Brown came off the bench to seal a late win for the Shipping Boys of LISCR FC over Freeport FC.

In other results on Monday, 10 October at the Antionette Tumban Stadium (ATS) in Central Monrovia substitute Abraham Kuyateh 89-minute goal from inside the deep for Watanga FC secured a 1-0 home win for the reigning champions over Nimba United FC.

The win for Champions Watanga FC and LISCR FC moves the team to 2nd and 3rd place on the league table, with both team ties on points with 13 points each with LISCR FC sitting 2nd on the league table with just a point behind FC Bea Mountain.

FC Bea Mountain is on top of the league table with 14 points from 6 games played.

The Grand Cape Club, FC Bea Mountain has won 4 games conceded 2 draws and is yet to taste a single defeat.

Highest spender Invincible Eleven, Jubilee Freeport sit at the bottom three of the table with Invincible Eleven and Freeport FC yet to get a win since the start of the season.
