The grand final of the Play For Peace Academy League Season 2020 has taken place at the newly constructed sports pitch of former Liberian Professional Eddie Kingston in Brewerville City, Montserrado County.
The final was climaxed over the weekend with exhibition matches on Saturday, 26 December 2020 at the home of Josephine Clarke Academy also known as the Eddie Kingston Sports pitch.
In game one Wilson Corner football Academy settled to a 1-1 draw with Josephine Clarke Academy (JCA) in the first exhibition match.
In game two, Ambassador female Under-17 thrashed LEAD Monrovia Football Academy 3-0 to clinch a trophy in the Play For Peace Academy League Season 2020.
Siah Michael and Jadicial Togba were on the score sheet for Ambassador F.C.
In game three, Tom Seneh lone goal secured third place for Young Star football Academy after the team won a narrow 1-0 over Ambassador F.C.
In game four, it was a scene for the kids to see former Lone Star Players versus Association of Soccer Academy Coaches of Liberia with former FIFA Badge referee Elisha A. Johnson taking charge of the match.
The former Lone Star players lined up Janjay Jacobs, Kelvin Sebwe,Dynacious Sebwe,Oliver Makor,George Gebro,Issac Tondo,goalkeeper Sunday Sieh, Eddie Kingston, among others.

With more entertaining football displayed by the former Lone Star Players after the break,Eddie Kingston assist was enough for former Invisible Eleven player Joseph Kollie Hina to gives the team a 2-1 lead but with 30 minutes plus added time Association of Soccer Academy Coaches of Liberia levelled the score at 2-2 with full time ending in a 2-2 draw.
Kelvin Sebwe scores the winning penalty to secured the trophy after George Gebro missed from the penalty spot in the penalty shootout .
The former Lone Start players won 4-2 in the penalty shootout to clinch the giant size trophy.
“Let me say thanks for the invite most especially our friend and brother Eddie Kingstin, our coming here today shows our support for the Kingston project or the Josephine Clarke Academy (JCA) you can count on us anywhere, anytime for our support, “said Janjay Jacobs.
For his part, Eddie Kingston said: “Gentleman let me say thanks to all of you for gracing such occasion and let me us say this to us Government can just do everything for us but we have to work our own way to contribute “.
“I also want to announce that I will do a special collaboration with Kelvin Sebwe on the Street Soccer process, I will collaborate with him in the next few months that you guys will see something new for Street Soccer Liberia,” said Eddie.
With the grand final Farm 4 Life took an early lead after 14-years old center referee Gordon Moore signals for a penalty in the 18-yards box of Joe Ba Soccer Academy that gives Farm 4 Life football Academy an early lead but Joe Bar Soccer Academy got the equalizer after a splendid ball displayed that resulted from a 25-yard strike from the leg of Steve T.Fully with the full 90 minutes ending in a 1-1 draw.
Joe Ba Soccer Academy won Young Star football Academy 1-0 in the semifinal to advance to the finals while Farm 4 Life football Academy won Ambassador F.C in a penalty shootout to advance to the final after a 1-1 draw in the full 90 minutes with both semifinal matches played at the Barnesville Estate Sports Pitch on .
The Play for Peace Academy League Season 2020 edition kickoff in September 2020 after the ban of football was lifted by the Liberia Football Association (LFA) after a meeting with the Ministry of Youth & Sports.
This year tournament marks the second edition with motto:Promoting Education Through Sports ” with LEAD Monrovia Football Academy winning the first edition
The Play For Peace Academy League Season 2020 was presented by Eddie Kingston.
Eddie Kingston is a former Liberia professional who resides in USA.
He capped two times for the senior national team of Liberia.
Eddie Kingston played for Selango FA and ATM FA in Malaysia,NK Zagreb in Croatia,St.John’s Red Storm and Brooklyn Knights in the USA and Village United FC in Jamaica.
Eddie is now involves in the development of young player.
