Fixture And Awards Up For Grasp

KAKATA, Margibi County– Liberia’s most traditional sports kickball got underway over the weekend in Margibi County to commence the LKF-Margibi Sub-association 2024-2025 League Season.

The new league season kick-started on Saturday, 19 April at the 14th Road Sports Pitch in Kakata with all six (6) participating clubs showcasing the talent on match day one of the competition to begin this year’s marathon of the league.

In the opening game of the competition at the jammed packed 14th Road Sports Pitch in Kakata in game one Weala based kickball club Future Girls Kickball Club and Kakata based club Vision Sisters Kickdball Club play to a scoreless home run with both clubs sharing the points in the opening fixture of the new league season.

In game two Dream kickball Club did not realized the dream in the debut match of such competition as Fuamah Girls kickball Club administers entrance to them which saw the Kakata based club Dream Girls KC tasting a 6-4 homes run to the girls of Bong County Fuamah Girls KC while in the day’s final showpiece to climax match day one Surprise Kickball Club clinched a narrow 2-1 home win against God’s Favor Kickball Club in a tense encounter.

And on Sunday, 20 April at the same venue in continuation of the competition to mark match day two in game one Surprise KC continues the winning spree in such competition becoming the first club since the start of the new league season to collect two wins in a row in the competition.

Surprise KC defeated Vision Sisters KC 3-1 at home while in game two Future Girls was able to collect the first win of the competition with a 3-2 home win against Dream KC.

And in the day’s final game to climax the weekend fixtures Fuamah Girls KC 0-1 God’s Favor KC, which marks the first defeat in such competition since the start of the new season.

As it stands Surprise KC are the only club to collect two wins in the competition during the weekend while Vision Sister KC and Dream KC are the two clubs yet to collect a win since the start of the new league season.

Surprise KC is at the top of the league table with 6pts from two games.

About the current league leader:

Surprise KC is a club based in the Via Town Community located in Kakata . The club was founded 2024 which the last edition’s marks the first season in the competition.

In another development, at such opening games of the competition on match day one and two God’s Favor KC and Future Girls KC received the respective   certificates as Champions for the 2025 Jamboree and Super Cup of the LKF-Margibi Sub-association 2024-2025 League Season while on the other hand with individuals awards for such competition and Queen of the Match Award.

Careysburg outfit club and Orange National-2nd Division former MVP and Golden Boot Winner Momo Blamo is the sole donor of such pretigious award in collaboration with the leadership of the Sub-association.

  3. Mawein Sackie  – MVP & Best Pitcher ( God’s Favor KC)

4.Mary Holder – Highest Home-Runner (God’s Favor KC)

  1. Isaac Kaine – Best Coach ( Gods’s Favor KC)
