Princess Reeves’ lone home Run secured United Angels KC first ever domestic trophy.

The Year 2023 will forever be remembered as a Year of laughter for Upper End kickball outfit club United Angels KC as they clinch the championship of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF)- Margibi Sub-Association 2022-2023 League Season.

It was a joyous and entertaining actions at the zenith football house of Margibi County the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata over the weekend as the Stadium hosted final games to climax the league season.

In the most watched game on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in form Sarah S. Jacobs stunning strike in the first inning of such crucial fixture to decide the Champions saw Princes Reeves making a home run to give United Angels KC a one home run to zero over Destiny Girls KC to clinch such Championship.

The former Quincy KC Reeves has been a significant singing since joining United Angels KC during the start of the 2022-2023 league season.

Her new kickball life has seen her been on top of her game as she is among one of the favorite to clinch the “Highest Home Run” individual award for the season.

United Angels KC win over Destiny Girls KC marks the second win over the former back-to- back Champions of the LKF- Margibi Sub-Association 2022-2023 League Season.

The former back-to-back champions Destiny Girls KC somersaulted to United Angels KC during the first phase of the league season, where United Angels KC won a convincing 3-1 homes run over Destiny Girls KC at the BRU Sports Pitch in Bong Mines in Bong County.

The defeat to Destiny Girls KC ended the unbeaten run in the league and markrthe first defeat of the 2022-2023 league season.

The meeting on 23 July marks the third meetings between the two clubs and second time at such venue with both teams winning one each.

Destiny Girls KC only win over United Angles KC during the 2022-2023 League Season was on Wednesday, 19 July in the grand final of the 2022-2023 Knockout Championship held at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata that saw Destiny Girls KC pinning United Angels KC 1 home run to 0 to clinch the knockout championship.

 

The 2022-2023 League Season Championship of the Liberia Kickball Federation- Margibi Sub-Association won over Destiny Girls KC on Sunday, July 23 marks the first ever domestic silverware trophy won by United Angels KC in the LKF- Margibi Sub-Association.

The 2022-2023 Champions United Angels KC accumulated 24 points from 10 games winning 7 and drawing 3.

The Upper end Kickball club United Angels becomes the second team to win the league unbeaten and also the second team from Kakata to clinch domestic league championship.

Destiny Girls Kickball Club remain the first team from Kakata to do so and moreover the first team to win back-to-back championship in the domestic league in Margibi County.

In another development, Champions United Angels KC and Destiny Girls KC automatically gain qualification for the Liberia Kickball Federation-League Two National Playoffs.

The two teams will represent Margibi County to the 2022-2023 LKF National League-Two Promotional Playoff which the venue is yet to be disclosed.

It will be the second appearance for United Angels KC in such competition. The gain qualification in 2021, where the competition was held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Margibi County top-tier outfit club Ayounda KC won the last edition on home soil in 2022.

About the Club:

Champions United Angels KC was founded year’s back but previously played under the name YSSCI KC in which the team failed to win any major trophy in Margibi County.

The team regain its original name United Angels KC before the start of the 2022-2023 league season after its owner Mr. Abrahman Kanneh reclaimed ownership of the team.
