SPORTS: Local Liberian Striker Momo Blamo Thrills Fans Again, Scores 4th League Goal

Momo Blamo has scored his fourth League goal for Shaita FC in a 6-1 win over LIFE FC.

He scored his fourth League that trick of the season to lead Shaita FC to a 6-1 win over LIFE FC as Wattala He Moore weekend message got through to the Careburgs outfit club Shaita FC.

Shaita FC needed victory against LIFE FC to keep the pressure on league leader Black Man Warrior in the race for the championship of the Orange National League-2nd Division.

With no time to waste Blamo increased his goals in the match to four as he scores for the second time in the second half to give his side a 5-1 lead against LIFE FC.

And with minutes to end the full 90′ minutes Blamo got on the score sheet for the third time in the match in the second half to give Shaita FC a comfortably 6-1 home win against LIFE FC.

His five goals against LIFE FC at home marks his first against LIFE FC in the competition. Blamo missed out his team two-all-draw with LIFE FC at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville on 13 December during the first half. It was Abraham Kamara and Ousman Kamara goals that helps Shaita FC secured a point after LIFE FC too the lead.

The Prince of Goals of Shaita FC Blamo becomes the first player since the start of the competition to score five goals at home in a single match.

Blamo and Kamara goals secured all three points for Shaita FC and helps the club stay at second place.

The Careburgs outfit club Shaita FC 6-1 defeat to LIFE FC on Friday, 29 March at the George Weah Technical Center in Careburgs keeps the hope of winning this year’s competition defending league leader Black Man Warrior suffers a defeat or defeats in the remaining fixtures to climax the league.

Blamo hat trick against LIFE FC marks his fourth this season in the competition. His five goals scored increased his goal tally to 28 goals in the competition.

In his team opening fixture of the competition at home on 10 September, Blamo hattrick sealed a 3-1 home win against PAGS FC.

His second came home at home on 28 September against Mighty Enforce FC where his hat trick gives Shaita FC a convincing 3-1 home win. .

At the SKD PP in Payenesville on 21 November against Jubilee FC Blamo recorded his third hat trick with Shaita FC defeated Jubilee FC 4-1 in an away fixture.

The Orange National League-2nd Division MVP and Golden Boot Winner Momo Blamo just need a goal or two goals to equal his debut season sensational form or surpass his debut season record of 29 goals in the competition.

In his debut season of the Orange National League-2nd Division Blamo recorded 29 league goals with 30 goals in 26 appearances for club in all competition scoring six hat trick.

His brilliant finish in front of goal during his debut season in the Orange National League-2nd Division Blamo good goal scoring form makes him the club highest goal scorer and moreover helps him scooping two individuals award in his debut season.

The Margibi County wonderboy Blamo is on record for becoming the first player to win the Most Valuable Player award and the Golden Boot awards in a single season.

Additionally, Blamo became the third player to reside in Margibi County to win the Golden Boot Winner in the Orange National League-2nd with teammates Abraham Marcos Senna Kamara and Ousman Isco Kamara becoming first and second to scoop such individual award.

Not just all to winning the MVP and Golden Boot but also his ability by during a brilliant job for club and moreover on the domestic scene Blamo has received calls from two coaches of the Senior Men’s National Team of Liberia where he was selected among many local base player to be a part of a month-long  or week- long practice session.

He received his first national team call under Liberia Men’s Senior National Team former head coach Keita Fanta Ansu and of recent received a call from newly national team coach Mario Marinica.

Though Blamo hasn’t made a debut for the red, white and blue boys of Liberia the Lone Star but he is hoping that one day his dream will come true.

In his second season in the second top tier league of domestic football the Orange National League-2nd Division Blamo has so far recorded four hattrick with 28 goals in the competition.

In the competition this season for Shaita FC Blamo has score 29 in all competition in 23 appearances.

The Careburgs outfit club Prince of Goals Blamo is hoping to equal or surpass such 29 league goals record in his debut season in the competition in his team crucial fixture against Mighty Enforce FC on 7 April in an away fixture.

Though Blamo through an interview has said that his primary objective this season is not just about him winning individual award but rather him seeing his team Shaita FC clinching the championship or be promoted to the top-tier league of domestic football the Orange National League-1st but more beside he is not taking his eyes from retaining such individual awards.

Win for Shaita FC in three matches of the remaining 4 fixtures means they join Black Man Warrior to gain promotion to the Orange National League-1st Division.

In other development on Friday, 29 March League leader, Black Man Warrior gained promotion to the first division after a 2-1 away win against Nimba United at the North Star Sports Pitch in Mt. Barclay while Junior Professional FC suffers a 3- 0 defeat from Nimba FC at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville.

Elsewhere, Samira FC and Wologisi FC played to a two-all-draw at the SKD PP in Payenesville.

Black Man Warrior sets the record of becoming to the first club in the Orange National League-2nd Division to gain promotion to the Orange National League-1st Division.

The Warriors has accumulated 61 points from 26 games while Shaita FC on the other hand has accumulated 57 points from 26 games.

The competition continues on 2nd & 3rd of April with three matches to be play.

At the ATS on the UN Drive PAGS and Mighty Enforce FC wrestle.

And while on the 3rd of April Jubilee FC and Gardnerville FC fight at the SKD PP in Payenesville while Discoveries S.A. welcome Margibi FC at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville.
