Momo Blamo Scored 9th League Goal, Sealing A Win For Shaita FC To Mantian Top Spot

Momo Blamo has scored his 9th goal of the season for club, Shaita FC in a chase for Championship and promotion to the top tier league of domestic football.

It all happened on Wednesday November 8, 2023, when the MVP and Golden Boot winner Blamo surpassed his previous best tally of 29 goals in his debut season in 2022/2023.

The Price of Goals of the Careysburgs outfit Shaita Football Club, Blamo got on the score sheet in the forty-sixth minute of the second half, after a scoreless first half to give Shaita FC a 1-0away lead over Philadelphia FC.

And still with much hunger for goals Blamo registered a brace in the sixty-four minute to give his side a 2-1 away win over Philadelphia Lone Star at the SKD PP in Paynesville on Wednesday, 8 November.

The home team Philadelphia Lonestar got the consolated goal in the 90th minute of the match but was hoping to salvage a point but couldn’t get another goal as the away team secured all three points.

His brace marks his first against Philadelphia Lonestar in the second top-tier league of domestic football the Orange National League-2nd Division.

It was his third goals since he swooped the double accolades during the 2023 Liberia Football Association  (LFA) awards ceremony held on 14 October 2023 at the Ellen Johnson Sirlea Ministerial Complex in Monrovia.

Blamo’s has been struggling full fitness for the past weeks since been injured during a home game.

This season Blamo played 8 games in all competition for club out of 10 games.

He missed a league game due to suspension where his culb suffers the first ever defeat on 21 September at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville in an away fixture to Junior Professional. This is in addition to an Orange Cup game at home against Bea Mountain on 5 November, which saw his team progressing to the next round of the 2023/2024 Orange Cup through penalties shootout after a one-all-draw.

His brace on Wednesday moves him to second place with 9 goals on the goal scorer chat with Theophilus Williams of Gardnersville FC with 11 goals topping him with two goals ahead on the Orange National League-2nd Division.

The 2022/2023 Orange National League-2nd Division MVP and Golden Boot winner Blamo brace helped his club secured all three points over Philadelphia Lonestar on match day 10 gives his side a 3 points advantage over second place Black Man Warrior.

The Careysburgs outfit club Shaita FC has recorded 7 wins, 1 draw and a single defeat since the start of the new campaign.

Junior Professional FC remains the only team in the competition to defeat Shaita FC while on the other hand Samira FC is the only club to grab a clean sheet from the Careysburgs outfit club Shaita FC with both teams playing to a goalless draw at home on

Shaita FC suffers a 3-2 defeat on 21 September at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Monrovia’s Gardnersville suburb.

As it stands Shaita FC has registered more goals than other club in the competition with 20 goals in the league out of 9 games.

Shaita FC next league fixture is against Jubilee FC on Sunday, 12 November at the ATS on the UN DRIVE with kick-off time at 4:00PM.

And still with other results of round 10 matches on Wednesday, 8 November second place Black Man Warrior returns to winning spree as the Warriors defeated Junior Professional FC 2-1 in an away fixture at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville.
