The Scorpions of St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School has booked their ticket to the next round of the competition in the football category.

Two brilliant first half goals from Ayoba Dukuly and MCwilton K. Mulbah at the opened-air Nancy B.Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata over the weekend sealed qualification for the Scorpions of St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High to the next round of the Upper Margibi ISSA Legue Competition of the football category.

Ayobs Dukuly put the Scorpion Boys of St. Augustine in an early lead in the 17th minute of the game to give his team a 1-0 away lead over Sheila Love Foundation.

With better ball possession from the away team in the central park the Boys of St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School got another goal from a pass from the central park that beats the back four of Sheila Love Foundation that saw MCwilton K. Mulbah striking from outside of the 18-yard box in the 27 ‘ minute to give St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School a 2-0 halftime lead over Sheila Love Foundation High School.

As the second half resume both teams played entertaining football to amuse the respective fans but couldn’t get a goal at the back of net in the second half dued to good defending from the back four of the both teams as Ayoba Dukuly and MCwilton K. Mulbah’s goal in the early minutes of the first half secured a comfortable 2-0 win for the St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School over Sheila Love Foundation High School.

The win marks St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School second win of the competition since the new season.

St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High got the first win of the competition with a 4-2 thrashing over Redeem High School in the team’s opening fixture on 17 February at the Nancy B.Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

The One Goal Football Academy player Ayoba Dukuly, who plays for St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School, has now registered three goals in two matches for his school in the competition this season.

As it stands in the senior high version of the football category St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School topped Group A with 6 points from two games.

A win for St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School in the final game of the group stage on 30 March in a fixture against Lango Lippaye High School gives the team automatically top spot.

In other results on Friday, 3 March at the opened-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

The win for the girls of St. Augustine marks the first win of the competition after suffering a surprise 4 homes run to 0 defeat to Redeem High School in the opening fixture on 7 February at the same venue.

It can be recalled that St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School suffers a defeat to Agape High School in the last edition grand final of the football category of the Upper-Margibi ISSA League where the St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School lost in penalties shootout over the Lamb of Agape High School at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

Booker Washington Institute (BWI) and Agape High School won Senior High Division of the kickball and football championship of the Upper Margibi ISSA League 2021-2022 League Season.
