BUCHANAN, Liberia – An assigned Auditor of the Liberia Bank for Development and investment (LBDI) Mr. Joseph Anthony Jarbo has been pronounced dead by medical practitioners at the Liberia Government Hospital, after being involved in a tragic Motor accident in Buchanan near the God Blessed You Hill Community.
The shocking news about Jarbo’s demise got several citizens and residents of Buchanan who gathered as early as 4pm where the accident occurred in tears, why another group, who believed that he was still alive, tried to hastily removed his body out of the vehicle but unfortunately he died upon arrival at the referral government hospital located on Kibly street in Buchanan.
A family source confirmed to our correspondent that the deceased was born on July 19, 1982 and died at age 39.

The Accident occurred on early Saturday Moring, January 30, 2021, at 4:20 am around the God Blessed You Community in Buchanan City. Grand Bassa Third electoral district while headed towards the Monrovia Junction in the Harlandsville Township.
Police reports confirmed that Jarbo was intoxicated while driving on an excessive speed. Due to the increase of velocity, the 39 years old auditor lost control accordingly left his lane and ranrinto a light pole that instantly broke and finally ran into a mini medicine store.
Mr. Stephen Kpor, deputy traffic Police commander of Grand Bassa County narrated that. “We discovered this morning, when we got on the scene strong bottles of intoxicating drinks in the back of the taxi.
It was also said that he was driving on an excessive speed that led him to lose control, leaving his main lane completely and hit a light pole, broke it immediately and ran into a medicine store right near the main road.
The store was demolished from the heavy impact, as the car went into the building and he was later pronounced dead by doctors on cord at the hospital”.
Medical reports also confirmed that the late Jarbo head, eyes and chest got split open, hands, legs, neck, back and ribs bones got broken into pieces from objects that he ran into, from the light pole to the building he broke down.
Grand Bassa Deputy Traffic police Commander added that the late Joseph Anthony Jarbo served the Liberian National Police for many years and later retired to join the banking sector as an auditor.
“We discovered an ID card belonging to the Liberia National police in his vehicle which have prompted us to do facts checking and documents in our possession clearly shows that the deceased was still active in the police force as well”.
