Ex-President Keeps Giving Flashback About Liberia’s Bloody Past

Former President George Manneh Weah seems to think that the worsening of relations between his main opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) and the Unity Party Alliance government of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai need to be resolved by the international community.

Mr. Weah has now written a letter to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), complaining the seven-month-old regime that replaced him of allegedly attacking and brutalizing his CDC supporters at their party’s headquarters in Monrovia, something that the Police and the Information Ministry have categorically denied.
