19 Liberian Health Workers Infected With COVID-19, One Dies As Confirmed Cases Rise

-As the number of confirmed cases rises to 91

As the lockdown and State of Emergency continues, the number of confirmed Coronavirus case goes up 91.

And the death toll has now increased from seven to eight, with the eighth being a Liberian health worker.

  • Ten (10) new confirmed cases reported from Montserrado (9) and Nimba (1) Counties
  • Nine (9) new suspected cases reported from Montserrado (8) and Nimba (1) Counties
  • Cumulatively, ninety-one (91) confirmed cases have been recorded with 19 health workers
  • A total of 8 deaths have been recorded, of which, one (healthcare worker) occurred in the Treatment Unit
  • The age range among confirmed cases is 1 month to 74 years with median age of 40 years
  • One thousand three hundred fifty-eight (1358) contacts including 221 health workers have been documented
  • A total of 846 (62%) contacts have completed 14 days since exposure
