President George Weah has on Tuesday made additional appointments/nominations in Government including the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL).
One of those named as NOCAL’s Vice President for Technical Services is Dr. Lester Tenny, a ruling CDC stalwart who recently lashed out at some of the appointments being made in government by President Weah.
In a social media post in February this year, Dr. Tenny claimed that the CDC was diverting from its initial agenda as the issues of nepotism, recruitment of inexperienced and unqualified “kids” and recruiting of individuals with questionable characters.
“I cannot be a spectator to what is unfolding in this government. I traded my integrity and accepted insults, even from those I mentor in the classrooms. I argued that Weah would deliver on the party manifesto,” Dr. Tenny said.
An Executive Mansion announcement says other areas are the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), The National Security Agency (NSA), The Liberia Agriculture Commodities Regulatory Agency (LACRA), The National Lotteries Authority, The Ministry of Information Culture Affairs & Tourism (MICAT), The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Governance Commission, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) as well as other agencies. These appointments/nominations are subject to confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate where applicable.
