TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- Civil Law Court Annext A assigned Judge Smith has held guilty and ordered the Fadiga Brothers to pay 1.5 Million in damages to Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Boss, Abraham Kromah.

Delivering the ruling on Monday, May 5, 2025, Judge Smith said that the action of Hassan who served as deputy Director to Kromah before both being suspended and dismissed later, and his Brother Hussein was reckless.

The default judgement rendered by Judge Smith was based on the refusal of Hassan and Hussein Fadiga to appear in court to provide their side of the case after several writ of summons were issued.

Judge Smith awarded former Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Director General, Abraham Kromah, a staggering $1.5 million in general damages after finding Hassan and Hussein Fadiga liable for libel.

The judge added that the Fadiga’s action was not only reckless but defamatory and had severe financial consequences.

The Judge also ordered an additional $100,000 in punitive damages to serve as deterrence to the defendants misconduct.

In February 2025, the dismissed LDEA boss filed a complaint against the Fadiga Brothers seeking redress  for character damages losses to his business.

He filed for 5 million in damages, but the Judge granted 1 million and a Hundred Thousands in Punitive.

Meanwhile, the defendants in this case disrespected the Court summons, which led the Judge to have ruled against them by default on March 17, 2025.
