Comptroller General Admits Liberians Are Suffering But…

Liberia’s Comptroller General and outgoing Secretary General of the ruling CDC has admitted that quite many Liberians are suffering, but has opposed people in the opposition who blame the current of regime for creating suffering for ordinary Liberians across the country.

Mr. Janga Kowo said while he acknowledged that Liberians are facing challenges but those difficulties were not created by President George Manneh Weah’s CDC government.

According to him, Liberian people have long begun suffering from the foundation of the country as such no one should attribute it to this government.

Liberia’s Comptroller General said it is under the George Weah government that Liberia is experiencing massive infrastructure development, payment of WASSCE fees, and advance health system amongst others. He is urging those expressing opposition against the CDC regime to proffered solution on how the country can move forward.

The senior Ministry of Finance official made the assertion in Monrovia recently at the launched of civil servants’ employment and pension data pay slip platform.

An inter- Agencies team comprising of the civil services Agency, Ministries of Finance and National Social Security and welfare Corporation has launched and begun awareness on the digitization of civil servants employment and pension data electronic pay slip PLATFORM in Monrovia.

The civil servants employment and pension data pay slip PLATFORM was launched on Wednesday under the theme operation secure all employment data.”

Giving an overview, the Executive Director of Liberia Macroeconomic Policy Analysis Center, Del-Francis Wreh said the platform will easily provide earning history of civil servants and ensure timely processing of retirement and Pension details of retired government employees.

The PLATFORM will focus on employee’s data including social security number, sex, and date of birth, date of employment, among others, Mr. Wreh said.

The Liberia Macroeconomic Policy Analysis center executive director noted that the inter-Agencies team will embarked on rising awareness aims to informed all government employees about the PLATFORM.
