FLASHBACK: Surgical Team & NCF Founder, Sen. Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence at the Government Hospital in Buchanan

About 150 people in River Cess County are expected to benefit from free surgeries through a three-day surgical outreach organized by the Nyonblee Cares Foundation.

The outreach will take place at the Gbadiah Town Health Facility in River Cess County.

According to the Foundation, this is the fourth surgical outreach conducted over the past three years. Nearly 500 people, including women and children, have benefited from previous interventions.

The outreach is sponsored by Senate Pro Tempore Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence.

Medical screening began on Monday and will continue through Wednesday. Surgical procedures are scheduled to start on Thursday, June 26.

The Nyonblee Cares Foundation says the River Cess outreach will cost approximately ten thousand United States dollars.

NCF says, River Cess and Grand Bassa Health teams are strategic partners to the surgical outreach. The Chief Health Officer of River Cess County, Doctor Youjay Karnga and Grand Bassa Chief Health Officer, Doctor Jude Wesseh lead the team of Liberian doctors to perform the three day surgeries in River Cess County.

The Foundation launched its surgical outreach program in 2023, helping at least 100 patients at the Government Hospital in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

In April this year, two additional surgical outreaches were held at the Gorblee Health Center in Grand Bassa County, benefiting more than 300 people.

The Foundation says the initiative is aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for the needy.
