In Grand Bassa County: 15 Arrested For Allegedly Torturing & Killing A Man

In Zoe wee town, Wee Statutory District, Grand Bassa County, reports have emerged that a former representative aspirant, Fredd Tukue and fourteen others have been arrested in connection with the alleged torturing and killing of a 57-year-old man.

This area is situated over 101 miles from the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

The 15 individuals are currently said to be undergoing investigations by the Liberian national Police for the act allegedly meted out against the man known as Bob David on witchcraft accusation.

According to one report, on 28th of May A.D. 2020, the victim and his wife Mamie David, age 47 were in a heated confusion and his wife accused him of being a witchcraft and he allegedly responded if I’m a witch than I will you.

After he was said to have made said statement to his wife, some traditional men took him away in their tradition “Zoe bush”, allegedly made him to drink his own urine. After that, they are said to have put lime in his anus. Then he paid some money to them to allow him go but the alleged perpetrators refused.

The alleged perpetrators beat on him and broke his spinal cord and later rushed him at the Liberia Agriculture Company’s hospital. But the man was dead on arrival and he was buried by those who allegedly killed him one month ago, before the news broke out.

The Report further revealed that this is not the first incident of its kind and that family members of the deceased are in desperate need of Justice for their dead relative. Report by  Garmah Never Lomo
