Organizers Yet To Arrive At Capitol Hill, As Businesses Remain Open In Central Monrovia

News Public Trust Reporter Alfred Kollie: It is 12:00 noon in Monrovia, and journalists from various media institutions are gathered at Capitol Hill awaiting the arrival of protesters.

However, protest organizers are yet to appear at the planned protest venue.

The Liberia National Police has promised to protect the constitutional rights of protesters of today’s scheduled demonstration led by the pressure group, STAND led by Mulbah Morlu, former Chairman of the main opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).

Meanwhile, normal business activities continue across central Monrovia, with shops and stores remaining open despite the planned demonstration.
