CG Jallah Spearheads LRA’s Drive Toward Historic Revenue Milestone

Under the leadership of Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah, the Liberia Revenue Authority continues to record strong growth in domestic revenue mobilization, with collections reaching US$893 million as of August 12, 2026, bringing the Authority closer to its US$1.3 billion target for 2026.

Since Commissioner General Jallah assumed leadership in March 2024, revenue collections have maintained a strong upward trajectory, rising from US$699 million in 2024 to US$848 million in 2025. By August 12, 2026, collections had already reached US$893 million, US$45 million more than the entire 2025 collection.

The performance comes amid reforms under Commissioner General Jallah’s leadership directing huge efforts to strengthening revenue collection, improving compliance measures, modernizing revenue systems, expanding taxpayer engagement and accelerating digitalization.

The LRA’s performance has also received recognition from the government. Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, speaking at the National Steering Committee meeting marking the first year of implementation of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), praised Commissioner General Jallah and the LRA for their strong revenue performance and contribution to mobilizing resources for national development.

The gains also reflect the collective efforts of LRA employees and taxpayers whose compliance remains critical to domestic revenue mobilization.

With collections rising and reforms advancing, Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah continues to lead the LRA toward what could become a historic year for domestic revenue mobilization in Liberia.
