Reports reaching this news outlet from Norkwia Sasstown in Grand Liberia’s southeastern Kru County say a 20-year-old man identified as Jackson Kofa has allegedly committed suicide on Christmas day for reason yet to be known.

It’s not clear what his motive was but he is said to have hung himself on December 25, 2020—Christmas Day.

The girlfriend of the deceased, Cecelia Nagbe, age 17 told Police Investigators that she was confused as to why he committed the act, as she didn’t demand her any Christmas money or items from him, only to have discovered him hanging from a rope in the house on Christmas Day.

But one report says the late Jackson Kofa’s inability to provide Christmas package for his home may have prompted him to commit suicide.

His girlfriend told police Investigators that both of them were living with Kofa’s  mother and at no point in time did she demand him to provide any Christmas package and money for her.

According to report, the deceased on Christmas Day locked himself up in the room and allegedly carried out the act, after which his lifeless body was discovered later after his mother, girlfriend and others forced the door opened at around 4PM GMT.

The police was immediately informed.

Meanwhile, a 15-member Coroner’s jury was set to examine the deceased remains and observed that there was no foul play.

Twenty-year-old Jackson Kofa has since been buried.
