A response team from the Liberia National Police, headed by Fedisco D. Chea, was immediately dispatched to the scene to assess the situation.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the driver, Emanuel Tamba, popularly known as “Falo,” who stated that he was en route to Barclayville when the vehicle unexpectedly somersaulted.

In a puzzling account, Driver Tamba told police he could not explain what led to the crash. “He really doesn’t know what happened,” Police officers who went to the seen are reported to have said, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The six passengers who sustained major injuries in the crash were rushed to hospital the police arrived.

They were initially taken to a health facility in Grand Kru County, with four later transferred to the J.J. Dossen Hospital in nearby Sinoe County for further treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the victims were no longer at the scene when officers arrived, and the damaged vehicle remains abandoned due to its condition.

The Liberia National Police says it has launched a full-scale investigation to determine the cause of the accident, as concerns grow over road safety and the transportation of passengers alongside heavy goods in the county.
