With Local them: “Restoring Archives via Technologies”
In observance of the 2024 International Achieves Day celebration on June 9th, 2024, the Center for National Documents and Records Agency has announced the holding of a series of activities to commemorate this memorable day.
This year’s World Archives Day celebration is under the National Theme “Restoring Archives via Technologies” and the Global Theme “Archives & Emerging Technologies.”
The main goal of the International Achieves Day celebration is to boost public understanding of the value of records and archives and educate decision-makers on the benefits of records management for development and governance.
Among the series of activities commemorating the day, CNDRA will stage a three-day exhibition of historical materials and documents on display for the public and hundreds of students from Len Miller High School, Saint Peter Lutheran High School, JJ Robert, and Calvary Baptist High School on 14th Street, says a CNDRA press release issued on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Others are the Bishop Mawueh Institute, Mary Brownell High School, and the S. D. A. High School on 12th Street in Sinkor.
The exhibition, which started on Wednesday, June 5th, continued on Thursday, June 6th to this Friday, June 7, 2024.
On Friday, June 7th, the National Archives will stage a day-long general clean-up campaign on its 12th Street compound.
On Monday, June 10th, 2024, the official celebration of International Achieves Day will begin with a grand parade beginning at 9:00 a.m. from Monrovia City Hall and ending at 10:00 a.m. at the CNDRA 12th Street premises.
