After The Killing Of A Supporter Of The Ruling CDC Party

Monrovia, Liberia- The Liberian National Police has declared a stalwart and supporter of the main opposition Unity Party (UP) of President-elect Joseph Boakai wanted in connection with the killing of a supporter of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Joshua Solomon.
The main opposition UP, which recently won the November 14, 2023 presidential runoff election, is set to take over the helm of power in late January next year, after the inauguration of former Vice President Joseph Boakai, who will be replacing incumbent President George Weah.
Addressing a press conference today, Monday, December 4, 2023 at the LNP headquarter in Monrovia, police spokesperson, H. Moses Carter said that the police based preliminary finding gathered has declared Queen Johnson, alias ‘’Rescue General’’ and others to be identified wanted.
“Henceforth, the Liberian National Police invites you today to declare these individuals wanted. We are pleased to use your media to declare a Liberian female and others to be identified wanted by the LNP and to humbly request this individual to turn themselves over to the police for investigation in connection with the death of Joshua Solomon’’ Mr. Carter noted.
The Liberia National Police (LNP) says it has secured a series of video footage to investigate the death of Joshua Solomon, a partisan of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC). Police Spokesperson Moses Carter announced the plan to probe Solomon’s death over the weekend.
According to him, the deceased was involved in political violence between the opposition Unity Party (UP) and the ruling CDC in August this year. Mr. Carter has indicated that it’s reported that the deceased allegedly sustained wounds that allegedly resulted in internal bleeding.
According to Mr. Carter at the new conference, he pointed out that suspect Johnson is being declared wanted by the LNP based on the video footage evidence in their possession where she and others to be identified are seen in the video of the actions that occurred in August during the campaign season which led to the death of victim Solomon.
‘’We are asking Liberian to assist us with any useful information about Queen Johnson and others that will be announce later. We want them to come to the LNP headquarter for investigation. And so, anybody listening can help us with the whereabouts of her. Also, we are using this medium to call her to answer to the criminal investigation.
Mr. Carter however, promised to keep Liberian updated as they continue their investigation, saying that any arrest made will be communicated with the public, assuring that they will ensure that justice is served.
