Defending champions Fuamah Girls KC remain at the top of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) Margibi Sub-Association Second Division League table despite suffering defeat over the weekend.
On Saturday, July 18, Fuamah Girls KC were handed a narrow 1-0 home defeat by United Angels KC at the BRE Sports Pitch in Bong Mines, Fuamah District, Bong County, in a result that stunned the home supporters.
The weekend fixtures marked the continuation of the 2025/2026 LKF Margibi Sub-Association Second Division League season.
Earlier on Saturday, Mighty Power KC and God’s Favor KC played to a goalless draw at the same venue, with both teams sharing the points.
Action continued on Sunday, July 19, with three matches at the BRE Sports Pitch.
In the opening fixture, Future Girls KC of Weala and God’s Favor KC of Kakata battled to an entertaining 3-3 draw.
The second match ended in a forfeit after Vision Sisters KC failed to honor their fixture against Dream Girls KC. As a result, Dream Girls KC were awarded a 5-0 victory and all three points.
The final match of the day produced the biggest result of the weekend as Fuamah Girls KC bounced back from Saturday’s defeat with a commanding 13-1 victory over Mighty Power KC.
The emphatic win is the highest-scoring performance of the 2025/2026 league season so far and the biggest victory recorded this campaign.
Fuamah Girls KC also set a similar milestone this season when they defeated Kamara KC 10-2 at the Old Trafford Sports Pitch in Weala in May of this year, becoming the first club to record a double-digit victory in the competition.
Following the weekend’s results, Fuamah Girls KC remain atop the league standings with 26 points from 14 matches, having recorded eight wins, two draws, and four defeats.
Meanwhile, Vision Sisters KC remain rooted to the bottom of the table in ninth place and are still searching for their first victory of the campaign.
In other developments, Surprise KC and Kamara KC did not feature in this weekend’s league fixtures after competing in the 2026 LKF Margibi Sub-Association Knockout Grand Final on Thursday, July 16, at the SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville.
Surprise KC defeated Kamara KC 5-2 to capture the title, securing the club’s first-ever championship in organized kickball competition in Margibi County.
The postponed league fixtures involving Surprise KC and Kamara KC have been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23, in Kakata. The exact venue will be announced by the organizers.
Should Surprise KC win both rescheduled matches, the club will move to the top of the league table with 27 points.
The league is expected to resume this weekend at a venue that will be announced by the organizers.
Fuamah Girls KC, popularly known as the Kpatawe Girls or the Orange Girls of Bong County, are the reigning league champions after winning their first-ever Margibi County Second Division title last season.
