SPORTS: In The Orange National League-2nd Division-Samira FC Hoping To Escape Relegation

Samira FC kept the pride over the weekend, despite been one of the club at the bottom of the league hoping to escape relegation or face demotion back to the third division league.

It was something for spectators of Samira FC to smile for as the side played Shaita FC to a scoreless full-time at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg on Saturday, 28 October in continuation of the Orange National League-2nd Division.

Both teams missed several chances for either team to grab all three points but thanks to the back-foot of both teams to collect a clean sheet.

The results mark the first time ever this season for Shaita FC not to get on the scoresheet in a league game at home or away since the start of the 2023-2024 Orange National League-2nd Division Season.

Samira FC becomes the only club in the league to stop Shaita FC for getting on the scoresheet at home and moreover the first club to do so from their scoring in a league game so far this season.

Fans of Shaita FC was eager to see the team extending ist lead on the table after the squad was boster by its goal prince Momo Blamo gained fitness for the match after been injured during his team 3-1 win over Wologisi FC on 24 October at home.

Shaita FC has recorded 18 goals in 8 League matches this season so far with the team scoring 12 goals at home, with 6 goals in an away fixture.

PAGS FC, Discoveries SA, Mighty Enforcers FC and Wologisi FC all suffers defeat away to Shaita FC at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg.

The Careysburgs outfit club Shaita FC has recorded two wins away with the team defeating Nimba FC on 15 October at the ATS on the UN Drive and Margibi FC on 19 October at the opened-air Nancy B Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

David Pascal Mulbah and Shaita FC goal prince MVP Blamo goals give Shaita FC a 2-0 win over Nimba FC on 15 October at the ATS on the UN Drive in central Monrovia.

Mulbah and Blamo goals give Shaita FC the first away victory in the competition since the start of the season.

The second away win was on 19 October at the opened-air Nancy B Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata where Shaita FC came from a goal down to pin Margibi FC 2-1.

David Pascal Mulbah and Titus Yeah second half goals earned a narrow 2-1 away win for Shaita FC marking the second away win of the new season.

Junior Professional FC remains the only club in the competition to defeat Shaita FC.

The Gardnersville outfit club Junior Professional defeated Shaita FC 3-2 on 21 September at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville marking the Careysburgs outfit club Shaita FC’s first away defeat and moreover first defeat of the season.

Shaita FC greatest comeback was on 16 September after the club came from two goals down to defeat Discoveries SA 3-2 after been reduced to 9-men at home.

Despite sharing points with Samira FC on match day 9 on 28 October Shaita FC still maintains top spot on the league table.

Shiata FC sits on top of the Orange National League-2nd Division table with 19 points from 8 games played.

The Careysburgs outfit club Shaita FC has recorded 6 wins, 1 defeat and 1 draw.

And moreover, Shaita FC has recorded 4 wins at home  and a single draw while away the club won 2 and lost 1.

MVP and Golden Boot Winner Momo Blamo is the club highest goalscorer with 7 goals as he sits third place on the top goal scorer chat of the Orange National League-2nd Division 2023-2024 League Season.

Since his double accolades at the 2023 LFA Awards Ceremony held on 14 October at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Monrovia Blamo has since score once with him not getting on the score sheet in his team last three previous fixtures.

The 2022-2023 Orange National League-2nd Division MVP and Golden Boot Winner Blamo last time been on the scoresheet for club was on 15 October against Nimba FC at the ATS at the UN Drive where he scores a goal in his team 2-0 .

The Shaita FC goal-prince, Momo Blamo will be hoping to continue his stunning goal record during his debut season as his team take on toptier club Bea Mountain on 5 November at home in the Orange Cup and also  his team next league fixture against Philidephia Lonestar on the 12th of November at home.

MVP Blamo has registered two hattricks since the start of the season with him becoming the first to register a hattrick in the 2023-2024 Orange National League: Shaita FC and Samira FC share points but the Careysburg outfit club Shaita FC still maintains top spot despite the draw.

SPORTS: Blamo first hattrick was on 10 September at home in his team’s pending fixture of the new campaign with his hattrick helping his team grab a 3-1 over PAGS FC.

His second hattrick was against Mighty Enforcers FC on 28 September with his club winning 3-1 at home.

And elsewhere, Abraham Jackson brace on Sunday, 29 October at the George Weah Technicl Center in Careburgs sealed a 2-1 win for Margibi FC over Nimba United FC.

The win marks Margibi FC first win since the start of the season as the Margibi County outfit club Margibi FC sits at the bottom of the competition on the league table.

While on the other hand Black Man Warrior failed to get a win against Discoveries SA to tie points with Shaita FC as Discoveries SA defeated Black Man Warrior 2-0 on 28 October at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Monrovia’s Gardnersville suburb.
