The 2025–2026 Upper Margibi Inter High School Sports Association (ISSA) League season will climax this Friday, April 24, at the famous Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

The grand finals will feature exciting matchups in both kickball and football, with champions set to be crowned in each category.

In the kickball category, George V. Gibson High School will face St. Paul Lutheran High School at 2:00 PM. Both teams enter the final unbeaten, having dominated their respective groups during the competition.

George V. Gibson secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Redeem High School on April 15, coming from behind after trailing 1–0 at halftime. On the same day, St. Paul Lutheran High School booked their spot with a narrow 1–0 win against Bote Barclay High School.

George V. Gibson High School also holds the record for the highest home runs and biggest score margin during the group stage, making them a strong contender for the title.

In the football category, Better Foundation Academy (BFA) will take on Lango Lippaye High School in what promises to be an intense encounter.

Better Foundation Academy advanced to the final after defeating Sheila Love Foundation 4–3 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw, highlighted by an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Augustus Toby. Meanwhile, Lango Lippaye High School secured their place with a 3–1 penalty shootout victory after a scoreless match at the same venue.

Winners in both categories will be crowned champions of the 2025–2026 Upper Margibi ISSA League season.

The champions will receive giant trophies along with cash prizes. Individual awards will also be presented, including Most Valuable Player, Best Coach, Best Goalkeeper, Highest Home Run scorer, and Highest Goal Scorer.

This year’s edition marks the first under the new leadership of Upper Margibi ISSA Chairman Ton K. Kerkula Jr.
