Competitive kickball action in the chase for silverware resumes this weekend in the 2025-2026 Margibi Sub-Association League.

The competition took a one-week break to allow all participating clubs to adequately prepare for the close of the first phase of the league.

This weekend’s matches will mark the end of the first phase, with games set to be played outside of Kakata east of the Liberian capital, Monrovia for the very first time since the league kicked off this season.

The “Old Trafford” Sports Pitch in Weala, Margibi County, will on Sunday, May 24, 2026 host four exciting matches involving eight of the nine participating clubs.

Kakata-based Vision Sister KC will be the only club not in action this weekend, having already completed all of their first-phase fixtures.

Action begins at 2:30 PM with God’s Favour KC taking on Dream Girls KC.

In the second match at 3:30 PM, second-place United Angels KC will battle league leaders Surprise KC in a top-of-the-table clash. A victory for United Angels KC will see them move to first place, while a draw or win for Surprise KC will keep them at the summit of the standings.

At 4:30 PM, eighth-place Kamara KC will face defending champions Fuamah Girls KC in another important encounter.

The final match of the day at 5:30 PM will feature host Mighty Power KC against their nearby rivals Future Girls KC of Weala in a derby that will determine who truly owns Weala.

As it stands, last season’s knockout finalists Surprise KC sit top of the league table with 15 points from 8 matches, recording five wins and two defeats. Meanwhile, Vision Sister KC remain at the bottom with 2 points from 8 matches, managing only two draws and six defeats.

Vision Sister KC are the only club yet to secure a win this season, while all nine participating clubs have suffered at least one or two defeats so far in the competition.
