KAKATA, Margibi County – In a significant development, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a trio of Liberian referees to officiate a CAF Champions League preliminary round match.
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) announced via its official Facebook page that FIFA-badged referee Washington Dolo has been selected as the Center Referee for the clash between Benin’s DADJE FC and Libya’s Al Ahli Tripoli.
The match is scheduled for this Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Stade de Kégué in Lome, Togo.
This assignment marks Washington Dolo’s first international appointment for the 2025 season, solidifying his position among Africa’s elite match officials. His most recent international duty was in October 2024 at the WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament in Senegal, where he served as both Reserve Referee for the match between Mauritania and Guinea-Bissau and as Center Referee for the fixture between Guinea-Bissau and Mali.

Referee Dolo will be supported by an experienced team of officials: · Assistant Referee 1: Joel W. Doe (Liberia) · Assistant Referee 2: Mamoud A. Conteh (Sierra Leone) · Fourth Official: Moses B. Johnson (Liberia).
This appointment is a major achievement for #LiberianFootball and highlights the continuous #refereedevelopment efforts within the country. Having three officials selected for a prestigious continental fixture underscores the confidence CAF has in Liberia’s top-tier refereeing talent.
