LKF- Margibi Sub-Association 2023-2024: God’s Favor KC Earns First Win; As Destiny Girls KC Moves On Top Of The Competition

The race for the championship in the ongoing Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF)- Margibi Sub-association 2023-2024 continues over the weekend with games each.
At the weekend in Weala, Margibi County, where 4 games played on Saturday and Sunday each to climax Week II of the competition.
At the famous Old Trafford Sports Pitch in Weala, Margibi County on Saturday, 8 June host Future Girls KC suffers a 2-1 home defeat to Vision Sisters KC in the final game of games played in Weala on 8 June.
In other results in game one, Destiny Girls KC returns to winning spree after conceding a defeat at home during Week I on June 2, 2024 of the competition.
Destiny Girls KC defeated God’s Favor KC 3-0, while in game two War Girls KC suffered a 7-0 defeat to United Angels KC.
And in game three, Weah Girls Professional KC and Surprise KC played to a goalless home run which saw the match ending 0-0.
Week II of the competition continues on Sunday, 9 June at the same venue.
In the opening fixture United Angels sealed another win as the regining champions defeated Vision Sisters KC 3-0 in game one while in game two Destiny Girls KC defeated Weah Girls Professional KC 7-2.
With more results, in game three Etta Cooper and Doris Mollay homes run sealed a 2-0 win for God’s Favor KC against War Girls KC. The win marks the newly club God’s Favor KC first win of the competition since the new season and in the day’s final show piece host Future Girls KC got a win against Surprise KC.
The Weala based kickball club Future Girls KC defeated the Kakata based kickball club Surprise KC 5-2. Future Girls KC tasted a defeat at home for the first time in the competition. Vision Sisters KC defeated Future Girls 2-1 on Saturday, 8 June at the Old Trafford Sports Pitch in Weala, Margibi County.
As it stands Destiny Girls KC leads the table with more homes run follow by United Angels KC and Future Girls KC sitting second and third place on the league table with all of the top three teams having 9 points each.
At the same time several players clinched the Queen of the Match Award in such competition.
On Saturday, 8 June at the Old Trafford Sports Pitch in Weala, Margibi County the following players clinched The Queen of the Match Award.
Destiny Girls KC player Nancy Tamba clinched the Queen of the Match in game one involving Destiny Girls KC and God’s Favor KC while in game two Princess Reeves walks away with The Queen of the Match Award which saw her team United Angels KC securing all three points against War Girls KC.
Sando Kromah and Ruth Yeaneson clinch The Queen of the Match in the team’s respective games in game three and game four.
Sando Kromah of Surprise KC performed excellently in her team’s Surprise KC match despite the team playing to a goalless home run against Weah Girls Professional KC, while Ruth Yeaneson clinched such award in her team crucial 2-1 away win over host Future Girls KC.
At the same venue on Sunday, 9 June in continuation of the competition to climax week II. Four players walked away with such prestigious individual award.
The players include Nancy Tamba of Destiny Girls KC, Lesa Norris of United Angels KC, Leamue Gbonyea of Future Girls KC and Princess Tarnue of God’s Favor KC.
The Queen of the Match Award is awarded to the best player in a single game. It is a partnership deal between the Sub-association and Orange National League-2nd Division MVP and Golden Boot Winner Momo Blamo. The gesture from the Careburgs outfit club Shaita FC Goal’s Prince Momo Blamo is a way of giving back to the people of Margibi County especially the sporting communities.
Such gesture from the Margibi County wonder boy Momo Blamo is not the first from him. It can be recalled he did similar thing in previous competition under the supervision of the Sub-Association and moreover in the just ended LFA-Margibi Sub-Association Third Division 2023-2024 League Season.
The League continues on 18 & 19 of June of Week III in Kakata, Margibi County with a venue yet to be announce by the Sub-Association.
United Angels KC clinched last year edition of the competition marking the first ever competitive domestic League Trophy.
