KF-SEGAL 2023 Season Kicks Off

Liberia’s traditional sport, Kickball officially kickoff on Saturday, 25 February at SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville in the chase for the championship of the LKF-SEGAL 2022-2023 League Season.
According to the President of the LKF Amb. Emmanuel Suprise Whea he mentioned that 14 teams registered to participate but unfortunately there will be 12 teams competing in League-One as a result of two clubs withdrawing, while 18 teams will participate in League-Two of the National League of the LKF-SEGAL 2023 League Season.
In today’s fixture of the national league of the LKF-SEGAL 2023 league season at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville will witness 14 clubs making up the opening fixtures of the new season.
There will be three games in League-Two, while four games in League-One on the opening day.
In the opening match in game one Fireman welcomes CYES, while in game two Thompson wrestles K-K United and in game three BSS entertains Supreme Girls.
With still more kikckball actions, in the top-tier league of the LKF-SEGAL League-One Kamara battles CYE in game four, while in game five Brazilian will administer entrance to debutant Ayounda in an away fixture.
And in game six and seven Blackton chased Girls Of Zion, while in game seven Royal Sisters rubs shoulder with God’s Anointed.
Ayounda Anointed and Blackton return to League -One after serving a one-year suspension and demotion.
Ayounda becomes the lone kickball team to qualified from outside Montserrado County to compete in the top-tier league of the LKF and will be making its debut in this year’s edition of the LKF-SEGAL 2022-2023 League Season.
The Margibi County outfit top-tier club Ayounda KC won the 2021-2022 LKF League-2 Promotional Playoff And National Championship held in Kakata in 2022 becoming the first club from Margibi County to gain promotion to the top-tier league of the LKF.
CYE and Blackton won the LKF-SEGAL 2021-2022 League-One and League- Two Championship respectively while Kamara won the D. Zoegar Wilson-LKF 2021-2022 Knockout Championship.
The traditional sports kickball was introduced in Liberia 1964 and is mainly played by females across the Country.
Aries kickball club remains the highest career in the top-tier league while Brazilian KC remains the highest career of League- Two of the Nationl League of the Liberia Kickball Federation.
