SPORTS: LKF-Margibi County Sub-Association-Destiny Sisters KC Dash Ayounda KC Title Hope

The title race for the championship of the Liberia Kickball Federation-Margibi County SubAssociation 2021-2022 League Season came to a climax over the weekend with interesting results but somehow disappointing.

On Sunday, 28 August during the last games of the competition which saw four teams muscling at two venues to end the season with two clubs tied neck to neck on points on the final day of Liberia’s traditional sports Kickball in Margibi County.

It was another heart-breaking day for the away team while it was a moment of joy for the home team to climax the season with a win for it home fans.

At the David Kuyion Sports Pitch in Gbarnga, Bong County, league leader Ayonda KC suffered a humiliation that saw the Kakata based club Ayounda KC dream of winning its first domestic silverware coming  to an end as the Kpatawee Girls of Bong County Destiny Sisters KC  won  such crucial fixture.

Ayounda KC took   an early lead in the match but Destiny Sisters KC came from behind to win Ayounda KC 5 homes run to 3.

The defeat to the Kakata based club Ayounda KC cause a massive blow to the club for not winning it first domestic silverware with the team ending the league at 2nd place with 36points.

And at the Dolo Town Sports Pitch in Lower, Margibi County Destiny Girls KC won a comfortable 3 homes to 0 over Zion Sisters KC. The win gives the Kakata based club Destiny Girls KC the championship of the 2021-2022 league season of the LFA-Margibi County SubAssociation.

Destiny Girls KC trumpth over Zion Sisters KC away keep the club hope by becoming the first club in Kakata to win back-to-back championship.  Champions Destiny Girls KC   accumulated 39points from 16 games played in the league, winning 12, 3 draws and a single defeat.

The first defeat in the competition was in the month of August in an El’classico clash with it nearest neighbor Ayounda KC  that saw the win for Ayounda KC club  keeping it title dreams alive but such dream couldn’t materialized due to  the team failure to win the final game of the competition.

The domestic silverware for club Destiny Girls KC was the second trophies for Coach G.  Garsaynee B.  Barseegiah for the 2021-2022 league season. Coach Barseegiah won the 2020-2021 LKF-Margibi County Sub-Association Super Cup, where he defeated YSSCI at the 14th Road Sports Pitch in Kakata one of the venue of such competition.

Champions Destiny Girls KC along with 2nd place Ayounda KC and perhaps 3rd place Zion Sisters KC or the winner from the Knockout will represent Margibi County in  the upcoming League Two National Championship And Promotional Playoff 2022 to be stage in Kakata, Margibi County in the month of September with official kickoff on 23 .

Destiny Girls kickball Club is a Kakata based club and was founded 6 April 2009 with Joshua Watson, Jr alias ” Jay” as founder. Dixon Morgan becomes the first president of Destiny Girls KC to win  back-to-back Championship and moreover to win a first ever domestic leagues trophy. Since his leadership Destiny Girls KC has won two domestic league trophies, 1 Knockout and 1 Super Cup.
