Woman Burns Hand Of 2-Year-Old Son For Eating Her Rice

RIVER GEE, Liberia- A report from Rock Crusher Community in River Gee County says a woman had allegedly burnt the hand of her 2-year-old out of anger because he allegedly ate her rice, as domestic violence goes on the rise.

The alleged aggravated assault case was reported on March 4,2023 to the Women and Children Protection Section of the Liberia National Police in this southeastern county.

Police said that the woman, Agatha Keye, Age 18, is a resident of rock Crusher community and she is undergoing investigation.

She is said to have put the child’s hand in the fire on grounds that the child ate her “cold rice” in the morning hours on February 23, 2023.

The Police Inspector in the area and WACPS commander, Potee dispatched a team of officers and the suspect was arrested.
