Liberian Justice Ministry On Prosecution Of American Man On Attempted Murder Allegation

After recent Liberia National Police arrest and investigation on attempted murder allegation, an American national, has now been taken to a local court in the Bushrod Island suburb of Monrovia, the Justice Ministry has confirmed.

The US citizen, who is said to be a Christian missionary, is being accused of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder and Aggravated Assault against a female Liberian Jessica Lloyd around Dixville, Caldwell near Monrovia.

The Justice Ministry in Monrovia on Monday, September 19, 2023 issued the following press release.

“Monrovia, September 19, 2023: The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that Lucas Richard, the American citizen accused of slitting Jessica

Lloyd’s throat, was today arraigned before the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court on charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder and Aggravated Assault. Defendant Lucas Richard was duly processed and remanded to the Monrovia Central Prison to await trial.”
