The examination football house in Gardnerville the Tusa Field Sports Stadium outside Monrovia was a scene of attraction over the weekend, as hundreds of spectators thronged the stadium to see excellent grassroots football being displayed by kids.

This was in continuation of the Gardnerville Subcommittee Under-12 2022-2023 Championship under the auspices of the Liberia Football Association (LFA).

It was another enjoyable showpiece from the youngster as they exhibited good football displayed in the chase for the 2022-2023 Championship for the Gardnerville Subcommittee Under-12 League.

The Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville staged six games on Saturday, 17 September where twelve teams muscle shoulders for supremacy.

It was another win for Barnesville Estate based outfit Academy Christ United Football Academy (CUFA), as the team has booked another win for the second time in the league.

Roosevelt Weah scored in the early minutes of the first half to give the home team a 1-0 lead over Favor Academy but with more minutes left in the first half the visitor (Favor Academy) got an equalizer to level the score 1 at piece from a well entertaining and coordination from the visitor that saw the home team losing ball possession after they got an early minute goal.

Still with much hunger Favor Academy got on the score sheet for the second time in the first half to take a 2-1 away lead over Christ United Football Academy but with just minutes left for the final whistle to end the first half of the match Devine Cassano Yoewah hit the back of the net to get an equalizer for Christ United Football Academy will both teams playing to a 2-out draw at halftime.

As the second resumed, both teams got instructions from their respective technical staffs the home team controlled the game in the early minutes of the second half with good ball control in the midfield along with accurate ball distribution through a one touch football from me to you that saw spectators giving them a round of applause. Richard Gborgbar struck from distance in the 75th minute give Christ United Football Academy (CUFA) a 3-2 lead over Favor Academy.

The away team puts out a good chase after been down 3-2 from the home team but it was the back four of Christ United Football Academy (CUFA) that kept the hope of the home team with substitute Sergino Izaac Zaza registered his name on the score sheet to give Christ United Football Academy (CUFA) a 4-2 win over Favor Academy.

The visitor failed to get on the score sheet during the second half of the match as Roosevelt Weah, Devine Yoewah, Richard Gborgbar and Sergino Izaac Zaza goals secure a comfortable 4-2 home win for Christ United Football Academy over Favor Academy.

The win at the examination house the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnerville marks Christ United Football Academy second since the start of the league.

It can be recalled on 3 September in the opening fixture Richard Gborgbar lone goal in the second half secured a narrow 1-0 win over Scholars FC. In the team second fixture on 10 September, CUFA played to a goalless draw with City Academy.

Christ United Football Academy (CUFA) sits third place on the league table with 7 points tied on points with City Academy and ANSSA who sits first and second place on the league table.

The team next fixture is an El’classico match with GAC on 25 September at the same venue. The Gardnerville outfit Academy GAC sits sixth place on the table with four points from three games.

Richard Gborgbar is now the highest goalscorer for Christ United Football Academy (CUFA) this season in the league with 2 goals in three matches. The league marks the 2nd appearance of the Barnesville Estate Based outfit Academy, Christ United Football Academy (CUFA). The team earned third place during the debut in LFA 2021-2022 League Season.

 Christ United Football Academy established on October 12, 2019. The club won three (3) trophies which include One Christian Aid Cup, One High Learner International School Tournament and One Children For Christ international USA cup.

Evangelist Edwin Hajinho Sheriff serves as founder and CEO while   Nathan Inzaghi N. Teah serves as Academy sports manager with Shaq A. Kemokai Head coach along with James Massaquoi as deputy coach.

The academy major sponsors include Aloysius Steven’s alias “Afrika “, Janjay Jacob, Prince Walker CEO of Prince Walker Group of Company,   Liberia International player Allen Njie, and Mrs.Gbie Weah Nagbe.
